As a 501c3 non-profit organization, Friends of the Shelter qualifies for grant funding. We thank those entities that have recognized the importance and need to fund the Shelter dogs’ medical care by selecting Friends of the Shelter as grant award recipients.

Friends of the Shelter received the following grants to fund the medical, surgical and recuperative care of the sick and injured dogs at the Franklin County Dog Shelter:

Friends of the Shelter recently received a grant to work with the Shelter on a spay/neuter program. The grant was from The Ohio Pet Fund and was funded by Ohio pet license plate sales. Previously, we received a grant from the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust, a KeyBank trust to fund the former Fix program, a spay/neuter program for low-income residents
