Our Off-Site Infirmary Care Program saved over 300 dogs lives’ in 2006.
Dozens of new dogs enter the Franklin County Dog Shelter every day. Some are injured or sick, while others have never been appropriately vaccinated and easily catch colds once they enter our overcrowded building. Our shelter infirmary is simply too small to accommodate the number of sick and injured dogs who are in need of our help.
Our Off-Site Infirmary Care Program, established in 2005, allows us to save dogs’ lives every day by expanding the number we can treat and subsequently place into loving, permanent homes. This innovative program is not funded by tax dollars, and remains fully dependent on donations made to Friends of the Shelter.
Make a $35 donation towards our off-site infirmary services and we will proudly display your name or dedication of your choice on the photo of a dog...a life YOU have helped save. If selecting a Seasonal frame, please specify Frame A, B or C when purchasing.

Sponsor a Labrador
Did you know Labs top the list in animal shelters across the country? Franklin County Dog Shelter is no different. We have many Labs available for adoption.
We established our Sponsor a Lab program as a means of defraying training and supply costs specifically for our resident Labs. Your $35 sponsor donation entitles you to place your name or dedication to a special person or pooch under the framed photo of the FCDS Lab of your choice.
You can become a sponsor in two easy steps.
